after the marathon bombing

If having me weather
a constant barrage
of self-important trivialities
while staring at a half-mast flag
and pondering man's inhumanity
is part of God's plan
for building His character
into mine... well,
those are the current conditions;
all that remains
is the accomplishment
of the purpose.
