Gone and done it

Well, it's finally happened... they've gone and made me a father-in-law! Sarah and Josh tied the knot November 11th. It was a beautiful ceremony, mixing tears and laughter with love-ever-after. I didn't get too choked up; in fact, my tie behaved very well! (See my earlier entry, Choking-on-Windsor.) The happy couple even gave the parents a chance to speak, so Dave Burton and I shared a few thoughts and prayers of blessing.
We had crystal blue skies and beautiful sunshine that made the little white church almost too bright to look at. But inside the church it was cold enough people could see their breath! The guys were all in jackets so we had some insulation, but Sarah and Anna were sleeveless. Sarah's fingers were evidence of the "cold hands, warm heart" theory, and when she touched Josh's face... !

So okay, it's been busy and I've been tired. No excuse. Colorado vacation pics were a disappointment to me. Still no excuse. I mean, it's been a whole month! So I picked and chose, and posted a dozen on flikr... come see!
